Value Addition Training for Fisherwomen

During January 2018 NETFISH along with SEARCH, NGO organized two training programmes on Value added fishery products at Vodarevu fish landing centre. A group of 55 fisherwomen was given hands on training on preparation of ready to eat value added fish and shrimp products like prawn pakoda, prawn fry, and dry fish products. A two days Hands on training for 27 fisherwomen was conducted jointly by NETFISH and CIFT at Chempu village in Ernakulam during January, by which they were taught on preparation of fish cutlet, fish finger, fish ball, clam cutlet, clam roll, clam samosa, and clam ball etc. In Maharashtra too, value addition trainings were conducted in January at Murbe and Dombivali, where 45 trainees got hands on training on preparation of fish cutlets, breaded & battered prawns and prawn pickle, etc.
